Responsibilities
- Design, configure, customize, deploy, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot GIS application features and solutions.
- Build responsive, dynamic, and scalable web applications from customer requirements, workflows, and user stories.
- Manage data flows, administer enterprise geodatabases with SQL, and automate analysis and reporting for field operations.
- Develop delivery schedules, estimate completion dates, follow the government software development lifecycle framework, and provide project documentation.
- Perform performance monitoring and tuning, service configuration, security and licensing support, user management, and hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Create static and interactive cartographic products that communicate complex geospatial concepts to varied audiences.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, coordinators, epidemiologists, business owners, analysts, and cross-functional technology teams.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in IT development roles.
- At least three years of experience with relational database management systems using SQL.
- At least three years of GIS analysis experience and knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis and map projections.
- Experience developing mobile-first, responsive, dynamic, and scalable web applications.
- Experience with JavaScript, Python, SQL, web mapping, APIs, geospatial databases, cloud platforms, and modern browser technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents due to contract requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include CDC environment and standards experience, Esri ArcGIS Enterprise experience, Agile and DevOps experience, Esri or Azure certifications, and cloud architecture experience.
Benefits
- Hourly salary range of $45 to $60, commensurate with experience.
- Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance.
