Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, and maintain Java middle-tier and backend capabilities for TDMS.
- Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable software solutions for a mission-critical application.
- Develop and troubleshoot services using Spring, Spring Boot, Jakarta, WebLogic, JBoss, or comparable technologies.
- Work extensively in Linux environments to diagnose and resolve application and runtime issues.
- Build and maintain Jenkins-based build and delivery workflows.
- Work with XML and JSON and apply XSLT for data transformations where appropriate.
- Contribute to cloud-oriented application development using OCI, Azure, or comparable platforms.
- Troubleshoot API, integration, and service-to-service issues and implement fixes.
- Participate in and lead code reviews focused on application design, security, maintainability, and code quality.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand use cases, communicate technical decisions, and deliver application solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to other engineers and improve application development practices.
- Support application maintenance, testing, upgrades, patches, and vulnerability remediation.
Requirements
- At least 11 years of software development experience, or qualifying education combined with 3–7 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Java backend or middle-tier development experience.
- Extensive experience working in Linux environments.
- Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and enterprise middleware or application-server technologies such as WebLogic or JBoss.
- Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD, or build automation.
- Experience with XML, JSON, APIs, application integrations, and service-to-service interactions.
- Cloud experience with OCI, Azure, AWS, or another cloud platform.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, participate in code reviews, and collaborate across teams.
- Preferred XSLT experience and exposure to AI-assisted software development tools.
- Demonstrated ability or knowledge in data analysis, automation, compliance, quality assurance, scripting languages, software test plans, user experience development, code review, embedded systems, and software estimation.
- At least 6 years of experience with programming or scripting languages such as SQL, C/C++, or JavaScript.
- At least 4 years of experience with databases.
- Preferred 1 year of experience with operating budgets or project financials.
- Preferred 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
