Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to modern, responsive, maintainable UI development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and related frontend technologies.
- Shape frontend architecture, component design, usability, performance, accessibility, and application-wide consistency for the Risk modernization program.
- Translate complex investment-risk workflows and requirements into intuitive, efficient user interfaces with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate on Java and Spring-based services, including API design, integration, data exchange, troubleshooting, and end-to-end validation.
- Create reusable UI components, patterns, and development practices that improve delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and user experience.
- Support refinement, design discussions, implementation, peer reviews, testing, release preparation, deployment support, and post-release improvements.
- Provide technical ownership for the UI area through knowledge sharing, development guidance, engineering-standard improvements, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, React application architecture, component design, state management, routing, testing approaches, performance optimization, and maintainable frontend code.
- Good design sense and experience creating clean, intuitive interfaces for complex business applications; experience with design systems or reusable UI patterns is a plus.
- Backend experience with Java and Spring or Spring Boot, including service integration, data exchange, debugging, and end-to-end technical collaboration, is a plus.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services, APIs, authentication flows, data models, and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, automated testing, and secure software development.
- Ability to understand complex business domains and collaborate with analysts, users, and colleagues across locations.
- Experience guiding developers, reviewing frontend designs, introducing reusable patterns, or leading a UI workstream is advantageous.
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
- Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
