Responsibilities
- Design and build internal design tools and automations with strong UX using TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, APIs, and Figma plugin/REST APIs.
- Build and maintain MCP servers, context pipelines, and integrations for AI coding agents including Cursor, Claude Code, v0, and Copilot.
- Automate governance-as-code through CI checks, release automation, and policy enforcement.
- Evaluate, integrate, license, and govern AI tools in partnership with security and legal.
- Build telemetry and dashboards measuring design-system and AI-tool adoption, cycle time, and quality.
- Create reusable prompts, templates, specifications, and starter kits for consistent AI-assisted work.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to evolve the design system and workflows.
- Set tooling and operations standards, lead platform initiatives, and mentor designers and engineers.
Requirements
- Approximately 5–8 years of experience across design engineering, front-end, design-system tooling, or platform/internal-tools engineering.
- Strong UX judgment, HTML/CSS foundation, and front-end development skills.
- Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python, APIs, CI/CD, and integrations.
- Working knowledge of Figma at organizational scale, including its plugin and REST APIs.
- Demonstrated success improving design or product-team workflows through tooling and automation.
- Hands-on fluency with AI tooling and responsible AI governance.
- Product mindset, ownership, communication, and senior individual-contributor leadership.
- Preferred experience includes MCP servers, AI-tool governance, design tokens, Code Connect, Angular/TypeScript, CSS custom properties, tooling dashboards, and complex B2B, enterprise, or data-heavy environments.
