Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and scale reusable automation frameworks and performance test suites for backend microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and web applications.
- Develop automated functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression tests for security workflows, cloud configuration APIs, authentication protocols, and administrative UI journeys.
- Lead efforts to triage and eliminate flaky UI and API tests and establish deterministic quality gates in build and deployment pipelines.
- Participate in product ideation, architecture, PRFAQ, and specification reviews to define quality criteria and analyze technical risks.
- Own test strategy, test cases, execution, and effort estimation across the Access Essentials platform.
- Build automation supporting service refactoring, API version migrations, and database or service optimizations.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions.
- Partner with Infrastructure and SRE teams on mock service environments, test data, alerting, and regression detection.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering in Test, SET, or SDET roles focused on backend microservices, REST APIs, and web UI validation.
- Strong programming ability in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright and API testing tools such as Rest Assured, Karate, Postman, or gRPC tools.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, AWS cloud infrastructure, relational and NoSQL databases, and OAuth, OIDC, or SAML security protocols.
- Experience with CircleCI, Jenkins, or Spinnaker; Docker or Kubernetes; and Splunk, Datadog, or Sentry.
- Bachelor-level technical education, specifically a B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes AI/LLM-assisted testing, security or identity and access management software, MDMs, multi-tenant SaaS, React, JMeter, Locust, performance testing, and security or vulnerability testing.
