Responsibilities
- Lead test planning, test design, and execution strategies for complex features, system integrations, and major releases.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test frameworks and suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Review requirements, technical designs, and user stories to identify quality risks, coverage gaps, and validation needs.
- Execute and oversee manual and automated testing across web, mobile, APIs, backend services, and platform components.
- Partner with developers and product managers on defect investigation, root-cause analysis, and product-quality improvements.
- Drive API, database, system integration, and data-validation testing for complex workflows and distributed systems.
- Integrate automated tests into build and deployment pipelines and monitor release quality metrics and defect trends.
- Mentor junior and mid-level test engineers and support test environments, test data strategy, and release certification.
- Champion continuous improvement of QA methodologies, tools, standards, and team processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software development, including automation and complex system validation.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle.
- Experience designing and executing comprehensive manual and automated test strategies.
- Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or REST Assured.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience testing APIs, databases, distributed systems, and end-to-end workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices and test management and defect tracking platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead testing across multiple priorities and use AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to improve productivity.
