Responsibilities
- Develop automated RF ATE test solutions for new product introduction and high-volume production.
- Design scalable and maintainable C++ software frameworks, reusable libraries, code-generation capabilities, and standardized test architectures.
- Support the Cohu RedDragon test platform and interface with RF instrumentation and semiconductor production equipment.
- Improve yield, throughput, multisite efficiency, and test coverage through automation and data-driven analysis.
- Develop package, wafer probe, and characterization test solutions.
- Transfer robust test solutions to global manufacturing partners and collaborate across design, product engineering, manufacturing, and software development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in RF test, semiconductor test engineering, or test automation.
- Strong C++ development skills and experience with Python, C#, or LabVIEW.
- Unix/Linux and Windows development experience.
- Proficiency with Git-based source control and collaborative software development workflows.
- Familiarity with object-oriented design, software architecture, design patterns, code reviews, automated unit and integration testing, CI/CD methodologies, and software quality practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT.
- Knowledge of SPI, I2C, and MIPI protocols.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes Cohu RedDragon, RF component testing, VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, tuners, SMUs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, wafer probe, package testing, and offshore manufacturing support.
