Responsibilities

  • Architect and build reusable test frameworks and libraries shared across teams.
  • Design testing SDKs and tools that help engineers create tests more efficiently.
  • Improve product testability, instrumentation, and observability.
  • Review test automation code and apply software engineering principles to test architecture.
  • Define and maintain the automation roadmap and serve as a subject matter expert in test strategy and tooling.
  • Mentor SDETs and software engineers on quality engineering practices.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code for test environments.
  • Validate deployments across multiple cloud environments and collaborate with development teams to improve product quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience in quality engineering with a strong focus on cloud automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C#, or Java, along with object-oriented design, software architecture, and system design skills.
  • Experience building production-quality automation frameworks, testing libraries, or developer tools from scratch.
  • Hands-on experience designing APIs for test frameworks or validation tools and working with SDKs, system integration testing, and software architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments.
  • Experience or strong interest in AI-powered development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience includes testing LLM-powered applications and agentic systems, infrastructure-as-code, distributed systems, cloud architecture, observability, monitoring, alerting, BDD, contract testing, AWS services, security testing, performance testing, regression strategies, and Docker containers.
