Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements and collaborate with development and test teams to understand functionality and stress/endurance testing needs.
- Design test plans and test setups for software solutions spanning multiple domains.
- Develop Python-based test automation, including stress, soak, and stability test frameworks.
- Design and execute stress tests on embedded platforms to evaluate performance, resource utilization, and failure thresholds.
- Triage and analyze automated-test failures, crashes, and performance degradation to identify root causes.
- Contribute to deliverables through agile scrum development sprints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in test automation and tools development.
- At least 3 years of experience in Python development and object-oriented design.
- At least 3 years of experience testing embedded systems.
- Familiarity with resource monitoring, load generation, and fault-injection techniques for embedded systems is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, software-defect detection, diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills are preferred.
Benefits
- Expected annual salary range is $96,000.00-$146,000.00 CAD, with potential eligibility for an annual compensation bonus program.
- Hybrid position requiring onsite work four or more days per week.
