Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize automated test cases and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Debug and analyze test results, document defects, verify fixes, and produce detailed test reports.
- Execute comprehensive test suites on new software builds using reference and customer hardware.
- Maintain test lab environments and create, update, and maintain test plans and test cases.
- Configure, integrate, and validate software deliverables on embedded hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with software developers and fellow test engineers on verification activities.
- Reproduce and investigate reported issues using systematic debugging and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, C, and shell scripting.
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, system configuration, scripting, and debugging in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of power-management testing across different hardware platforms.
- Understanding of formal test theory and methodology, with experience developing automated tests and testing tools.
- Experience writing test plans and cases, executing tests, and reporting results.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Familiarity with SVN, Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of QNX or another embedded operating system is an asset.
- Experience debugging and performing root-cause analysis and system validation in embedded hardware and software environments.
