Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize automated test cases and frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.
- Execute comprehensive test suites on new software builds using reference and customer hardware, analyze results, document defects, and verify fixes.
- Create detailed test reports, test plans, and test cases based on product requirements and feature specifications.
- Configure, integrate, and validate software deliverables on embedded hardware platforms.
- Maintain test lab environments and collaborate with software developers and test engineers.
- Reproduce and investigate reported issues using debugging and root-cause analysis techniques.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring while owning verification deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, C, and shell scripting.
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and testing tools.
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, system configuration, scripting, and debugging in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of power management testing across different hardware platforms.
- Understanding of formal test theory and methodology, with experience writing test plans and test cases, executing tests, and reporting results.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Experience with source versioning, problem reporting, and continuous integration systems, including SVN, Git, JIRA, and Jenkins.
- Experience debugging, performing root-cause analysis, and validating embedded hardware and software environments.
- Working knowledge of QNX or another embedded operating system is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
