Base Salary

$109k - $152k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize automated test cases and frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Execute comprehensive test suites on new software builds using reference and customer hardware, analyze results, document defects, and verify fixes.
  • Create detailed test reports, test plans, and test cases based on product requirements and feature specifications.
  • Configure, integrate, and validate software deliverables on embedded hardware platforms.
  • Maintain test lab environments and collaborate with software developers and test engineers.
  • Reproduce and investigate reported issues using debugging and root-cause analysis techniques.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring while owning verification deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, C, and shell scripting.
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and testing tools.
  • Deep understanding of Linux internals, system configuration, scripting, and debugging in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of power management testing across different hardware platforms.
  • Understanding of formal test theory and methodology, with experience writing test plans and test cases, executing tests, and reporting results.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Experience with source versioning, problem reporting, and continuous integration systems, including SVN, Git, JIRA, and Jenkins.
  • Experience debugging, performing root-cause analysis, and validating embedded hardware and software environments.
  • Working knowledge of QNX or another embedded operating system is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
