Responsibilities
- Own and improve the long-term technical health of the monorepo.
- Plan solution designs and release strategies with engineering teams.
- Lead foundational upgrades across the stack.
- Enhance code quality, application structure, and engineering standards.
- Address scalability, reliability, and performance concerns.
- Resolve security vulnerabilities in the application.
- Build and maintain shared developer tooling and CI linting.
- Maintain shared infrastructure like feature flags and end-to-end tests.
- Support product teams by solving technical issues.
- Act as a multiplier by unblocking teams and improving their systems.
- Contribute through implementation, code review, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
- Passionate about software engineering and serving developers.
- Excited to learn and lead projects.
- Experience designing maintainable systems and making technical tradeoffs.
- Strong testing habits for long-term maintainability.
- Comfort with platform, infrastructure, and developer experience problems.
- Desire to improve engineering standards across teams.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration.
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
