Responsibilities
- Own and improve the long-term technical health of the monorepo.
- Design solutions and release strategies with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Lead foundational upgrades across the technology stack.
- Improve code quality, application structure, maintainability, and engineering standards.
- Address scalability, reliability, performance, and security vulnerabilities.
- Build and maintain shared developer tooling, CI linting, feature flags, end-to-end tests, and infrastructure-as-code within the monolith.
- Resolve cross-cutting technical issues and unblock product teams.
- Contribute through implementation, code review, technical guidance, mentorship, and documentation.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience designing maintainable systems and making pragmatic technical tradeoffs.
- Strong testing habits and understanding of how tests support long-term maintainability.
- Comfort working on platform, infrastructure, tooling, or developer experience problems.
- Ability to lead projects and improve engineering standards across teams.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Bonus: experience with high-scale web applications, e-commerce or health technology, React, GraphQL, CI systems, test suites, feature flag systems, or developer tooling.
