Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend platform services for API access, event routing, workflow execution, machine identity, and immutable audit records.
- Develop event-driven integrations using Kafka and Temporal, including durable workflows, retries, idempotency, replay, and at-least-once delivery.
- Implement secrets-management and KMS abstractions with cloud key-management providers, bring-your-own-key models, envelope encryption, and customer-level cryptographic isolation.
- Build authentication and authorization services using capability grants, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, machine identity, and fine-grained access controls.
- Own GitOps-based deployment pipelines and onboarding automation across isolated customer environments.
- Develop secure third-party API connector services with scoped access, managed credentials, request validation, and audit logging.
- Own production reliability through monitoring, distributed tracing, incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience building and operating production services with Go or Rust.
- Experience building event-driven systems with Kafka or similar technologies, including retries, idempotency, replay, and at-least-once delivery.
- Experience implementing authentication or authorization with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, token lifecycle management, machine identity, or fine-grained access controls.
- Experience implementing encryption or key-management solutions using cloud KMS platforms, envelope encryption, or key-hierarchy designs.
- Experience operating multi-tenant production services with structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and incident-response practices.
- Preferred experience with Temporal or other durable workflow orchestration platforms; Zitadel, Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar identity platforms; and ClickHouse or comparable audit-focused data stores.
- Preferred experience with GitOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, MSP/PSA/RMM/security/Microsoft 365 APIs, regulated environments such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or CMMC, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
