Responsibilities
- Own partner and customer integration lifecycles from qualification and scoping through build and handoff.
- Assess systems, data flows, risk surfaces, and implementation approaches during Phase 0 qualification.
- Build and configure integration connectors, data mappings, and partner adapters using Clara’s integration framework and shared libraries.
- Coordinate with partner technical teams and serve as the primary technical point of contact.
- Work with Platform/API squads on webhooks, authentication patterns, event contracts, and reusable integration primitives.
- Ensure integrations meet standards for idempotency, observability, secrets management, data minimization, and sandbox testing.
- Deliver runbooks, dashboards, on-call assignments, and support playbooks for completed integrations.
- Identify recurring integration patterns that should become shared libraries or configuration.
Requirements
- Direct technical experience working with external partners and end customers, including owning customer relationships.
- Experience designing solutions from scratch to meet customer needs.
- At least 4 years of backend software development experience with API integrations, webhooks, and data mapping.
- Deep knowledge of REST, event-driven architectures, OAuth/token management, and idempotency.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages, preferably Java, with comfort across multiple systems and technology stacks.
- Working knowledge of observability fundamentals including logs, metrics, tracing, alerting, and SLOs.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate connector development and repetitive mapping work.
- Working proficiency in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exposure to integration platforms or connector frameworks such as N8N, Zapier, or custom-built equivalents.
- Preferred experience in fintech, payments, or financial data infrastructure; PCI/PII handling and compliance; AWS, Kafka, or event-streaming platforms; and proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
