Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the complete lifecycle of full-stack Safety Data Infrastructure features from specification through implementation, rollout, monitoring, and iteration.
- Define architectural direction for scaling Safety Data Infrastructure and its high-availability real-time datastore.
- Design and implement high-throughput distributed systems and microservices for safety applications.
- Collaborate with Content Safety, Safety Experience, Accounts, ML Foundations, and Roblox database platform teams.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and drive widespread adoption of core safety applications.
- Instrument and analyze user interaction data to inform design decisions and improve product performance.
- Take responsibility for projects from initiation through delivery and mentor peers across team boundaries.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software development experience.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust, high-throughput distributed microservices handling thousands of requests per second with strong safety and security practices.
- Experience with non-relational datastores and large-scale systems.
- Experience as a full-stack engineer with strong backend development skills on complex, production-grade systems.
- Ability to instrument, collect, and analyze user interaction data, including A/B testing and usage metrics.
- Experience or willingness to work with Rust, Go, C#, C++, and Python, with primary coding in Rust.
- A BS in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or another technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Commitment to user safety, data integrity, and compliance with safety policies.
- Collaborative technical leadership, including mentoring peers and leading cross-team projects.
- Interest in building AI-centric solutions and incorporating machine learning and agentic AI capabilities.
