Responsibilities
- Design scalable control planes and data primitives for Verkada products.
- Build distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices worldwide.
- Launch new services within a microservices architecture.
- Scale authentication, users, roles, and audit capabilities for core products.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience building and scaling access systems to millions of users worldwide.
- Mastery of at least one of Python or Go.
- Experience with relational databases including Postgres and MySQL.
- Experience with key-value storage, caching, and distributed queueing systems including Redis, Memcached, and Kafka.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with React, gRPC, and API specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week.
