Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure for the Thought Machine core banking platform.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and automate provisioning, configuration, testing, deployment, remediation, and operational processes.
- Ensure availability, reliability, scalability, security, observability, and regulatory compliance across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and promote DevSecOps practices.
- Monitor banking services, support incident management and root cause analysis, and operate Kafka platforms in production.
- Support Vault products, APIs, release management, resilience testing, disaster recovery, audit activities, access controls, logging, monitoring, and change governance.
- Partner with architects, software engineers, security, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders on the core banking roadmap.
Requirements
- Extensive DevOps engineering experience in banking, financial services, fintech, payments, or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong AWS cloud engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production environments with stringent uptime and resilience requirements.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Sumo Logic.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Production experience administering Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, replication, brokers, schemas, monitoring, performance tuning, and operational support.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, production support, incident management, change management, and operational excellence.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Experience with Thought Machine Vault, modern core banking platforms, banking products, DevSecOps capabilities, security automation, event-driven architecture, or API-driven platforms is preferred.
