Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure for the Thought Machine core banking platform.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Design and maintain secure, repeatable, and compliant CI/CD pipelines.
- Operate highly available production environments across development, test, staging, and production.
- Implement monitoring, observability, automated remediation, self-healing, and operational tooling.
- Support Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Kafka, banking APIs, and event-driven platform operations.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, release management, resilience testing, and disaster recovery.
- Implement access management, logging, monitoring, change governance, regulatory controls, and audit documentation.
Requirements
- Extensive DevOps engineering experience in banking, financial services, fintech, payments, or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong AWS cloud engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production environments with stringent uptime and resilience requirements.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Sumo Logic.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Production experience administering Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, replication, brokers, schema management, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, production support, incident management, change management, and operational excellence.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Preferred qualifications include Thought Machine Vault or modern core banking platform experience, banking product experience, knowledge of financial regulatory and operational resilience requirements, DevSecOps and security automation experience, event-driven and API-driven platform experience, and familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering practices.
