Responsibilities
- Own product features end-to-end, including customer problem discovery, design, implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build and scale Go backend services that ingest and model AI spend and usage data.
- Develop TypeScript and React product interfaces that present cost and usage information clearly and reliably.
- Build API-first platform capabilities usable by both human users and agents.
- Understand AI spend economics, including token and model pricing, inference, GPU costs, and usage allocation.
- Use AI tools throughout development for code exploration, prototyping, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, establish engineering guardrails, mentor peers, and help set technical direction.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including experience with multi-tenant SaaS products and end-to-end production ownership.
- Strong Go experience building backend services, APIs, and data-processing systems.
- Strong TypeScript and modern React experience.
- Experience working across the stack, from data models through user interfaces.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, with GCP preferred and AWS or Azure accepted.
- Working proficiency in SQL against an analytical store such as BigQuery.
- Product-oriented judgment and the ability to identify the right problems to solve in an ambiguous environment.
- Experience using AI tools across the engineering workflow and ability to explain their benefits and limitations.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles, with the ability to set direction for others.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough, and tenacious.
- Knowledge of FinOps and FinOps products is a strong plus.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is a bonus qualification.
- A portfolio demonstrating work built throughout the candidate's career is a bonus.
