Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance integrated solutions spanning multiple application and technology platforms.
- Create architecture, system design, data model, process flow, UML, sequence diagram, and related design artifacts.
- Oversee technical design and development for complex projects from concept through completion.
- Evaluate technology and market trends and recommend improvements to enterprise architecture.
- Design security controls for networks, applications, and data.
- Work with implementation teams to align architecture and delivery plans.
- Support project planning through effort estimates, functional breakdowns, and technical resource plans.
- Facilitate communication between IT teams and business stakeholders on technical issues and major changes.
- Educate, coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to engineering and project teams.
- Review existing system designs, participate in architectural reviews, and ensure adherence to technology standards.
- Troubleshoot complex large-scale and systems-level problems.
- Lead collaboration among business and technical participants while managing multiple priorities and projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of industry experience in a similar role.
- At least 7 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines within a service-oriented architecture environment.
- At least 4 years of experience designing, implementing, and governing systems architecture in a complex business applications environment.
- Experience in software development and Agile methodologies.
- Preferred experience includes 5 years architecting applications with .NET and Microsoft technologies and 2 years designing cloud-based systems.
- Demonstrated experience across software development, infrastructure, data management, databases, cloud, networking, and security technologies.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture, APIs, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, ESB, XML, microservices, and web services.
- Strong knowledge of application, infrastructure, network, and security architecture.
- Expertise in ASP.NET, VB.NET, XML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, content management systems, and GUI development.
- Understanding of NoSQL, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft BizTalk or another enterprise service bus platform.
- Preferred knowledge includes HIPAA security and privacy standards and healthcare or health-plan data structures and workflows.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft technical certifications and cloud architect certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, analytical, organizational, planning, mentoring, and consensus-building abilities.
