Base Salary
$104k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Java.
- Contribute to user story analysis, technical design, development, testing, automation, and production support.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using established API design and security best practices.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and develop efficient data access patterns.
- Troubleshoot application issues, analyze logs and metrics, and improve application performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with engineers to improve code quality and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7 years of software development experience, preferably developing Java backend applications.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development principles.
- Knowledge of emerging payments industry trends, technologies, and standards.
- Knowledge of blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and Web3 technologies and ecosystems.
- Experience with or knowledge of Vert.x.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience or familiarity with source control and tools such as Git and Jenkins, or equivalent technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
