Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the cross-platform Keet Desktop P2P communications application using React and the Pear runtime.
- Implement UI/UX features and write modular, maintainable, well-tested frontend code.
- Optimize frontend performance, including rendering and memory management.
- Test and debug complex frontend applications.
- Contribute to the development of peer-to-peer communications and data-sharing capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven production experience with React or Preact and modern JavaScript or TypeScript in production-scale applications.
- Strong competency with state-management tools such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar.
- Ability to write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong frontend testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Comfort working remotely in a globally distributed team and communicating effectively.
- Preferred: experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar desktop application runtimes.
- Preferred: familiarity with WebRTC, media streams, video/audio APIs, and real-time communication.
- Preferred: experience optimizing UI performance and building cross-platform applications for macOS, Windows, or Linux.
- Bonus: contributions to open-source projects, particularly in P2P or decentralized technology.
