Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy for foundational iOS components, native video playback infrastructure, and hybrid React-in-WebView frameworks.
- Architect and build WebView infrastructure and bridges integrating React web content with native iOS functionality.
- Lead performance optimization for platform components used by millions of daily active users.
- Establish performance benchmarks and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to iOS engineers across multiple product teams, including L4/L5 onboarding and development.
- Drive cross-organizational architectural decisions balancing developer velocity, application performance, and maintainability.
- Establish and maintain development standards for hybrid mobile applications and influence adoption across the mobile engineering organization.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional iOS development experience.
- At least 6 years of experience building and shipping production iOS applications to the Apple App Store.
- Strong proficiency with Swift and the iOS ecosystem and architectural components.
- Experience leading major architectural initiatives, migrations, or platform-level projects.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across teams.
- Ability to build consensus around technical decisions and guide evolving architecture patterns.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
- Experience with hybrid mobile architectures, WebView integration, JavaScript bridges, React, or React Native is preferred.
- Experience with video streaming or real-time communication technologies is preferred.
- Experience on platform or infrastructure teams supporting multiple product teams is preferred.
