Responsibilities
- Build industry-leading backend features and APIs for enterprise users within the Snowflake platform.
- Design and implement scalable backend services that integrate with Snowflake's infrastructure.
- Lead projects spanning backend architecture, data processing pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Promote collaboration within cross-functional teams of Design, Product, Engineering, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Build for enterprise scale, performance, and security to handle large data workloads.
- Contribute to the technical architecture and product vision for cloud-based data application development.
- Ensure integration with Snowflake's security model and governance features.
- Design and optimize APIs for performance and reliability.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and error handling for production systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building backend systems for enterprise web applications or cloud platforms.
- Strong development skills in Python, Go, or Java with experience in cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or gRPC services.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure patterns.
- Experience with enterprise software requirements including security and governance.
- Strong system design skills with knowledge of scalability patterns and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with data processing and large-scale data platforms is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across engineering and business stakeholders.
- Thrive in dynamic environments with evolving priorities.
