Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and solution design for strategic initiatives across the OTT platform ecosystem.
- Own solution delivery from concept through implementation and production release, providing hands-on architectural guidance and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable solutions, including functional and non-functional requirements for privacy, security, observability, governance, and responsible AI use.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, delivery, business stakeholders, operations, and external partners throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct architecture reviews, identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies, and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Support engineering teams with architectural governance, decision-making, and guidance on complex technical issues.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, OTT best practices, and AI capabilities to improve platform capabilities and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role designing and delivering large-scale technology solutions.
- Deep understanding of OTT platform architectures, including subscriptions, monetisation, identity and access management, content and metadata management, and related platform services.
- Proven experience designing and delivering scalable distributed systems using microservices and event-driven architecture principles.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and services, preferably AWS.
- Strong solution design expertise, including integration of third-party vendor solutions and in-house platforms.
- Practical understanding of generative AI, machine learning, and AI-enabled platform capabilities, including assessing use cases, risks, dependencies, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools for architecture, analysis, documentation, engineering productivity, and problem solving while validating their outputs.
- Hands-on software development lifecycle experience with technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python, or Go, along with strong database knowledge.
- Experience analysing and optimising business processes, operating models, and technology landscapes.
- Strong documentation skills and experience applying industry-standard architecture and design methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes IAM solutions, payment-provider and subscription-billing integrations, external vendor and partner integrations, event-driven integrations, data pipelines, asynchronous workflows, and Agile delivery environments.
