Responsibilities
- Define durable infrastructure and SRE strategies and communicate technical architecture decisions.
- Design robust, secure, scalable architectures and develop project-specific technical strategies.
- Remain hands-on by building and evolving infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Lead delivery quality, performance, technical consistency, cost optimization, and pragmatic technical tradeoffs.
- Mentor junior SRE/DevOps engineers through training, pair programming, code reviews, and technical coaching.
- Analyze defects and incidents to improve team knowledge and system quality.
- Provide technical leadership for the project and coordinate with the Agile Project Manager, Engineering Manager, clients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps Engineer role.
- Experience working with a modern stack including Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud providers.
- Ability to make and explain technical tradeoffs involving risk, cost, scalability, and maintainability.
- Ability to build trust in technical decisions with engineers, project managers, clients, and leadership.
- Ability to develop and inspire SRE team members.
- Ability to assess the appropriate use of AI in terms of efficiency, quality, security, and best practices.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to the company’s development.
