Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to create test plans.
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for software functionality and performance.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, ad-hoc, cross-browser, cross-platform, UX, and usability testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps using bug-tracking and test-management tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and maintain detailed testing documentation, results, and quality metrics.
- Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and regression suites to maximize coverage and reduce defect leakage.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to improve software quality and meet security and compliance requirements.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level QA engineers, including conducting code reviews for test automation.
- Establish QA best practices and promote a quality culture across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with the software development life cycle and software testing life cycle.
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing for SaaS, web, and mobile applications.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI.
- Basic understanding of SQL queries for database validation.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Cypress.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and working with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to Sprint ceremonies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, mentoring, and test-strategy skills.
- Proficiency in English is required.
