Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, and Confluent Kafka.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments, monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with software teams to establish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud infrastructure health, performance, and security.
- Optimize Kafka message-broker infrastructure and event-driven system performance.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure, deployment, application, and performance issues with cross-functional teams.
- Apply cloud security best practices and maintain infrastructure and deployment documentation.
- Track cloud, Kubernetes, and DevOps advancements and propose infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- More than three years of hands-on DevOps Engineer experience focused on cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of streaming data, distributed systems design, and asynchronous message brokers such as Kafka.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
- Experience designing and managing GCP virtual machines, storage, networking, and IAM.
- Understanding of Kafka components including Zookeeper, brokers, producers, and consumers.
- Proficiency in YAML and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
- Understanding of containerization, orchestration, cloud security best practices, and compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
