Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale Apple’s SRE and DevOps ecosystem.
- Establish GitOps-driven cloud-native CI/CD platforms and organizational reliability practices.
- Support highly scalable distributed applications, load balancers, perimeter security, integrations, and API gateways.
- Troubleshoot Java and JVM technologies, runtime configurations, operating systems, file systems, and network protocols.
- Build machine learning pipelines and anomaly detection models using large datasets.
- Research vulnerabilities and threats and translate findings into system designs and implementations for detection and prevention.
- Apply cryptographic strategies and secure communications protocols, including TLS and mTLS.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical Apple teams and external supply chain partners.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, ideally Java or JEE.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Bash, and Lua.
- Proficiency in relational and non-relational database fundamentals, including hands-on PL/SQL experience.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for Java and JVM technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, ScaleIO, and Amazon S3.
- Experience with Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, and CloudWatch is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD, release engineering, and DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and patterns, cryptographic algorithms, regular expressions, vulnerabilities, threats, TLS, mTLS, and secure communications protocols.
