Responsibilities
- Architect and manage CircleCI pipelines, runner clusters, and self-service automation tools for secure application delivery.
- Deploy ArgoCD-based GitOps workflows across multiple Kubernetes clusters.
- Partner with engineering squads to provide tooling, automated pipelines, and technical expertise.
- Design and manage production AWS EKS infrastructure in resilient multi-region and multi-cluster architectures.
- Manage container scheduling and cluster scaling with Karpenter.
- Enforce EKS security using Kubernetes Network Policies and IAM Roles for Service Accounts.
- Architect and oversee Istio Service Mesh implementations, including mTLS and microservice traffic protection.
- Develop routing, ingress and egress gateways, circuit breaking, and canary release strategies.
- Diagnose service mesh data-plane, multi-cluster, and distributed-systems operational challenges.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote DevOps best practices focused on security, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevOps platform experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, VPC, Route53, S3, and IAM.
- At least 2 years of expert-level experience administering production-grade Amazon EKS and containerized workloads.
- At least 1 year of production experience designing and managing Istio Service Mesh in distributed or multi-cluster environments.
- CircleCI experience is preferred.
- Kubernetes or AWS certifications such as CKA, CKS, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional are preferred.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and GKE is preferred.
