Base Salary
$80k - $110k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop features, APIs, internal tools, and reusable components for Marketplace products.
- Build prototypes and MVPs, gather feedback, and improve shipped software.
- Build AI-powered features involving document extraction, data validation, agent-driven workflows, and automation.
- Learn and apply backend engineering practices involving services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, data models, testing, and reliability.
- Participate in customer discovery and translate customer feedback into product improvements.
- Fix bugs, improve usability, and automate repetitive workflows through tools and integrations.
- Participate in code reviews and gradually take ownership of larger engineering projects.
Requirements
- Have 0–2 years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or a related technical role; recent graduates and career changers with strong hands-on projects are encouraged.
- Experience writing code in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python through work, internships, coursework, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and fundamental software engineering concepts.
- Experience using AI coding tools or experimenting with LLMs to build something.
- At least one project that demonstrates the problem addressed, approach taken, and lessons learned.
- Interest in building software, solving problems, understanding customer impact, and learning unfamiliar technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with React, Node.js, SQL, AWS, cloud technologies, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, RAG, document processing, workflow automation, side projects, open source, hackathons, or early-career work in a startup, SaaS, fintech, or other fast-moving technical environment.
