Base Salary
$86k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document backend features, automation tools, frontend UI components, and supporting services.
- Maintain, enhance, and upgrade existing applications, tools, and services.
- Monitor and support AWS-based cloud services in production.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, respond to maintenance and support tickets, and support automation tool and feature rollouts.
- Evaluate technical requirements and proposed solutions for operational and technical feasibility.
- Develop and integrate APIs, data pipelines, microservices, and cloud-based components.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and daily SCRUM meetings.
- Contribute to software test development, review, analysis, and validation.
- Apply software engineering practices for performance, scalability, reliability, resiliency, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to improve technology standards and deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or other backend programming languages.
- Experience developing and supporting applications or services in AWS.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architectures, and data pipelines.
- Experience with software development, testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM development environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices is an asset.
- Experience with frontend development or UI frameworks is an asset.
