Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and iterate on VLM-based pipelines for high-quality labels and annotations.
- Determine signals and contextual features to improve VLM accuracy from edge devices.
- Collaborate with Embedded Systems and Hardware teams on data-forwarding strategies.
- Work with Data Science to create evaluation frameworks for label quality and model accuracy.
- Benchmark and integrate commercial and open-source VLMs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering with a focus on computer vision or LLM/VLM systems.
- Strong familiarity with Vision-Language Models like GPT-4V or similar.
- Experience in building and evaluating labeling systems at scale.
- Understanding of edge/device constraints affecting data availability for cloud models.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and cloud inference APIs.
- Practical skills in prompt engineering for large models.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams.
