Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery across applications, integrations, and data-driven solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance.
- Define engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
- Design solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments using APIs, microservices, messaging, and event-driven approaches.
- Apply data modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration fundamentals.
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and constraints.
- Support estimation, backlog refinement, solution clarification, and technical decision-making.
- Lead or mentor software engineers and data engineers while balancing delivery priorities and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery, including technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong hands-on software development experience and experience leading engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
- Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration.
- Experience with cloud platforms, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and SQL.
- Understanding of security, scalability, availability, performance, and other non-functional requirements.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and code quality practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Kafka, Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake is advantageous.
- Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, telecommunications, e-commerce, or enterprise technology environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, cloud-native technologies, data governance, data quality, lineage, and security principles is advantageous.
