Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer end-to-end system features across user experience, frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems through debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Integrate and evaluate LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, and controlled tool or function calling.
- Use approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and unit and integration testing, with human review and validation.
- Evaluate prompts, retrieval, outputs, tool interactions, groundedness, hallucination risk, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, security, and sensitive-data handling.
- Collaborate in team discussions, provide solutions to work-related problems, and support junior team members through knowledge sharing and guidance.
- Follow coding, testing, deployment, and other software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Proficiency with Large Language Models and experience integrating and evaluating LLM APIs.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and agile development methodologies.
- Ability to integrate frontend and backend components into cohesive solutions.
- Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and optimizing complex systems.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants, context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Experience with context and token budget management, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, controlled tool or function calling, and determining when prompt design, retrieval, or fine-tuning is appropriate.
- Knowledge of embedding models, retrieval or vector stores, LLM SDKs or APIs, and evaluation tooling such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Ability to assess security, hallucination, dependency, performance, response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection, and sensitive-data risks.
