Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, profile, and optimize critical embedded software components for next-generation networking platforms.
- Develop high-performance systems involving concurrency, memory optimization, asynchronous architectures, operating-system internals, and networking protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, technical leaders, and architecture groups on complex architectural and scalability challenges.
- Contribute to system availability, architectural decisions, technical initiatives, and software engineering practices.
- Mentor emerging talent and drive resilient system-level innovations.
- Develop automated testing frameworks and integrate them with CI/CD infrastructure when applicable.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a qualifying Master’s degree program with 0 years of work experience, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program with 2 years of work experience, or an educational/workforce development program with 2 years of work experience.
- Education or work experience must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected to continue enrollment in a degree or qualifying educational/workforce development program after completing the internship.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ systems programming, including multithreading, concurrency, memory optimization, and asynchronous architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of operating-system internals, enterprise and service-provider networking protocols, L2/L3 networking, TCP/IP, and routing.
- Hands-on experience developing, debugging, and profiling software in Linux using GDB, Valgrind, and Git.
- Preferred qualifications include Linux kernel development, embedded device drivers, RTOS, DPDK, XDP, advanced routing and switching protocols, low-latency telemetry, Python, Bash, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, PCIe, I2C, SPI, FPGA/ASIC acceleration, secure boot, and embedded vulnerability mitigation.
