Base Salary

$80k - $113k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize automated tests, test frameworks, and test cases.
  • Execute software validation on reference and customer hardware platforms.
  • Debug software and hardware interactions, analyze failures, and perform root-cause investigations.
  • Create defect reports, verify fixes, and conduct regression testing.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation based on product requirements.
  • Generate test reports and communicate results to development and leadership teams.
  • Build and improve automation lab infrastructure and testing environments.
  • Collaborate with development, integration, and test teams to ensure software quality.
  • Reproduce and isolate field-reported issues through troubleshooting and validation.

Requirements

  • Experience developing automated test solutions for software or embedded systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C, and Shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Experience testing file-system features across multiple hardware platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, validation strategies, and test automation best practices.
  • Experience creating test plans, developing test cases, executing tests, and reporting results.
  • Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and system validation skills in embedded software and hardware environments.
  • Experience with Git or SVN, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
