Base Salary
$80k - $113k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize automated tests, test frameworks, and test cases.
- Execute software validation on reference and customer hardware platforms.
- Debug software and hardware interactions, analyze failures, and perform root-cause investigations.
- Create defect reports, verify fixes, and conduct regression testing.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation based on product requirements.
- Generate test reports and communicate results to development and leadership teams.
- Build and improve automation lab infrastructure and testing environments.
- Collaborate with development, integration, and test teams to ensure software quality.
- Reproduce and isolate field-reported issues through troubleshooting and validation.
Requirements
- Experience developing automated test solutions for software or embedded systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C, and Shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Linux.
- Experience testing file-system features across multiple hardware platforms.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, validation strategies, and test automation best practices.
- Experience creating test plans, developing test cases, executing tests, and reporting results.
- Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and system validation skills in embedded software and hardware environments.
- Experience with Git or SVN, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
