Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their most important problems and design software solutions using data.
- Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
- Discuss architecture with engineers and work with massive-scale data.
- Build custom web applications and other technical solutions.
- Communicate with customer executives and establish strategy for the team.
- Collaborate with other Forward Deployed Software Engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, and customers.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Analytical ability and interest in solving technical problems involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Experience or interest in using large-scale data to solve valuable business problems.
- Demonstrated coding proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and interest to travel to client sites as needed; 25–50% travel is preferred for some teams and locations.
