Responsibilities
- Test, deploy, and troubleshoot CHAOS products in customer environments.
- Translate customer workflows into clear product and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with core engineering teams to prioritize feedback, shape product direction, and drive delivery.
- Design and build software products that bridge CHAOS capabilities and customer mission needs.
- Integrate edge-sensor data into customer systems.
- Apply and develop machine learning and AI solutions to real-world problems using sensor-data analysis.
- Travel typically up to 25% to customer sites and CHAOS offices in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Requirements
- Strong technical foundation in computer science, software engineering, data science, mathematics, physics, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar technologies.
- Ability and interest to travel, typically up to 25%, with flexibility for higher-travel periods.
- At least one year of relevant work experience is preferred, especially in a defense context.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern front-end frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Git, SSH, and Linux-based systems is preferred.
- Experience applying machine learning or AI techniques to real-world or customer-facing problems is preferred.
- Existing UK security clearance or eligibility to obtain it is preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work autonomously and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders is preferred.
