Responsibilities

Provide database administrator and engineering support focused on data optimization.
Optimize Oracle systems for peak performance and efficiency.
Work with large data sets and identify Oracle efficiencies.
Design and develop database structures, parser software, loading software, queries, and data retrieval solutions.
Develop requirements and support database work from project inception through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability.
Analyze and recommend systems improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
Create and update ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros to manipulate data and build master files.
Make database architecture tradeoffs involving data volumes, users, distribution, response times, retention rules, security, and domain controls.

Five to ten years of experience as a Database Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, with five years of Database Engineer experience accepted as a substitute.
Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Experience with database design, development, implementation, administration, data storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis.
