Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, test, deploy, and maintain production services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces.
- Build and operate production AI systems covering RAG, evaluation, fine-tuning, serving, and inference optimization.
- Turn AI prototypes into reusable platform capabilities with evaluation, governance, and deployment processes.
- Architect and operate AWS or GCP environments using Kubernetes and Terraform for applications and model pipelines.
- Own observability and incident response while partnering on SOC 2, SOX, and least-privilege IAM requirements.
- Improve cloud and AI cost visibility, attribution, budgets, GPU utilization, inference routing, model selection, and right-sizing.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of professional software development experience owning production systems.
- Require experience shipping backend services or APIs and production AI/ML systems involving LLMs, RAG, and serving.
- Require strong Python skills plus TypeScript/Node, Go, or Java experience.
- Require experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Require proven experience reducing or governing cloud or AI spend and communicating technical and cost tradeoffs.
- Prefer full-stack experience with React or Next.js, vector databases, inference optimization, FinOps tooling, SOX or SOC 2, and Copilot or Cursor.
