Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the UI/UX team while defining software architecture and front-end best practices.
- Assess existing systems, complexity, and implementation risks for advanced visualization products.
- Translate wireframes into functional requirements and develop reusable, high-performance UI components.
- Collaborate with design, product management, and development teams to create elegant, usable, responsive, and interactive interfaces.
- Improve user interfaces, software architecture, and technology choices.
- Optimize web applications for speed and scale across high-powered desktops and low-end mobile devices.
- Coach and teach team members while promoting strong ethics and teamwork.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience developing responsive, elegant, efficient, and cross-browser front-end applications.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MVC frameworks, and UI libraries such as ReactJS and D3.js.
- Hands-on experience with mapping APIs such as Google Maps and OpenStreetMap.
- Familiarity with UX processes and design.
- Proven ability to drive large-scale projects with understanding of Agile SDLC, collaboration, and leadership.
- Strong written and oral communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
