Base Salary
$71k - $464k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and operate fault-tolerant distributed systems and RESTful web services.
- Support traffic management capabilities such as region failover, traffic shaping, and predictive infrastructure scaling, depending on the hiring team.
- Build data tools and infrastructure that improve productivity for data engineers, analytics engineers, ML engineers, and data scientists, depending on the hiring team.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers.
- Share engineering experiences with open-source communities and contribute to Netflix OSS.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building features or applications for large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful web services.
- Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Experience with Java or another object-oriented programming language.
- Comfort working with multithreading.
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.
