Responsibilities
- Design and implement graph-based search services.
- Develop backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring, GraphQL, and GraphQL Federation.
- Integrate Neo4j, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Parameter Store, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis to support ingestion, storage, and messaging pipelines.
- Build scalable backend systems and APIs for search, recommendation, and discovery features.
- Establish clean-code, SOLID, architectural, monitoring, logging, reliability, and performance practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams and mentor engineers.
- Use New Relic and Coralogix to support monitoring and logging.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems or search platforms.
- Proven experience building scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Strong expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience designing GraphQL and API services.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures using AWS and Kubernetes, including EKS.
- Knowledge of clean code, SOLID principles, architectural design patterns, and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, or other iterative development methodologies.
- Preferred experience with Apollo Router, advanced GraphQL federation, graph-based data modeling, search platforms, AI-driven discovery systems, or high-throughput distributed systems.
