Responsibilities
- Develop backend architectural solutions for document identity verification.
- Build and optimize Python-based AI/ML systems for document processing.
- Integrate document verification capabilities with React web applications, Swift iOS SDKs, and Kotlin Android SDKs.
- Contribute to technical strategy and platform development for Document Verification.
- Apply software security best practices, including secure SDLC and cryptographic implementation.
- Evaluate technologies for image quality assessment and document processing.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering leadership to improve development processes and system reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience with a backend and ML focus.
- At least 2 years in senior engineering roles with demonstrated technical competency.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one of React/TypeScript, Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android, or Ruby.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservices.
- Understanding of modern AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch and production model deployment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include multi-threaded applications, high-performance computing, secure SDLC, cryptography, obfuscation, code signing, SaaS at scale, Terraform, monitoring tools, document or computer vision domains, mobile app security, NFC, Ruby on Rails, image quality assessment, document security standards, anti-fraud techniques, and an advanced degree in Computer Science, ML, Computer Vision, or a related field.
