Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable backend microservices and product features.
- Own the quality, resilience, and maintainability of team services throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product designers, product owners, frontend engineers, backend engineers, and mobile engineers.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and advocate for development best practices.
- Fix bugs, refactor code, and improve product reliability and maintainability.
- Experiment with new technologies and participate in Technical Week for innovation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience with strong object-oriented programming foundations.
- 3+ years of experience working with customer-facing products, such as e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS products.
- Experience designing, implementing, and deploying backend services focused on high availability, low latency, and consistency.
- Good understanding of API design, SQL, and relational databases.
- Excellent English communication skills, including sharing ideas, raising concerns, and documenting work.
- Collaborative, proactive, solution-oriented approach with a commitment to learning new technologies.
- Prior Ruby experience is not required if the candidate is passionate about learning.
