Responsibilities
- Develop key parts of the platform and scale backend capabilities for a new international audience.
- Build scalable APIs using Scala, Akka, Postgres, Kinesis, and related open-source technologies.
- Serve as the technical architect for new client projects and work directly with clients.
- Coordinate work, guide technology decisions, and mentor team members.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Sales on requirements, initiatives, and issue resolution.
- Review work in progress and address issues identified through manual testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role using a modern programming language.
- Experience with Scala and willingness to learn or use ZIO.
- Experience building APIs for large-scale applications and working with REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS.
- Leadership and mentorship experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working directly with clients.
- Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills and willingness to tackle challenging projects.
- Curiosity about financial products and markets.
