Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain tooling and testing infrastructure for frontend and backend engineering workflows
- Create automation frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Build efficient CI/CD pipelines using file-change tracking, smart test selection, and parallelization
- Develop utilities for API mocking, external-service stubbing, and isolated production-like test environments
- Monitor test reliability and performance to improve feedback speed and signal quality
- Collaborate with engineers on testability, traceability, instrumentation, and deployment confidence
- Document testing architecture and developer workflows and onboard teams to best practices
- Drive technical decisions, testing standards, and architectural patterns for critical trading and portfolio management systems
- Partner with backend teams on reusable test fixtures and data factories for financial and regulatory scenarios
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on testing infrastructure, developer tooling, or platform engineering
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript with Jest, Vitest, Cypress, and Playwright
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CDK, Datadog, Terraform, or similar tools
- Understanding of test automation patterns, mocking strategies, and test environment management
- AWS infrastructure and deployment experience
- Experience with containerization and orchestration for test environments
- Knowledge of database testing strategies and test data management
- Strong software engineering and system design foundation
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools for test infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, written communication, and documentation skills
- Bonus: financial services or regulated-industry testing experience, property-based testing, fuzzing, distributed testing, load testing, Scala or Python testing ecosystems, developer productivity tools, test reporting and analytics platforms, or security testing and compliance validation
