Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and optimize multi-account and multi-region Snowflake platforms, including replication and failover.
- Implement Snowflake RBAC, access provisioning, governance, encryption, masking, retention, and regulatory compliance controls.
- Develop automated onboarding pipelines for Snowflake accounts, databases, warehouses, and roles.
- Architect and manage Snowflake integrations with Azure services and secure network connectivity.
- Build and maintain Terraform infrastructure and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake and Azure resources.
- Automate integration configurations, grants, RBAC, testing, validation, rollback, and deployment traceability.
- Integrate platform workflows with ServiceNow for change requests, incident management, and service catalog automation.
- Maintain audit logs, access reviews, security controls, runbooks, SOPs, architecture documentation, and compliance evidence.
- Provide L3 production support, lead Sev1/Sev2 incident resolution, and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Partner with Security and Risk teams and improve platform reliability, scalability, automation maturity, and warehouse cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake core platform capabilities, security, replication, and performance tuning.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Storage, Networking, Identity, and Key Vault.
- Experience with Terraform for cloud and Snowflake infrastructure, Azure DevOps CI/CD and release management, and Git version control.
- Experience supporting third-party applications such as Talend, Qlik, and Looker.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM workflows and regulated or financial-services environments.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake replication and disaster-recovery strategies, multi-cloud AWS/Azure architectures, and automated data-access provisioning.
- Knowledge of data governance and catalog tools, security and compliance frameworks, Microsoft Copilot, and GitHub Copilot is preferred.
- Snowflake and/or Azure certifications are a plus.
- Strong platform engineering, data security, governance, troubleshooting, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and executive communication skills.
