
Snowflake Platform Engineer, Officer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and govern enterprise Snowflake environments across multiple accounts and regions.
- Implement Snowflake security, RBAC, access provisioning, replication, failover, masking, encryption, retention, and compliance controls.
- Optimize Snowflake warehouse performance and cost through query tuning, utilization tracking, and FinOps practices.
- Architect and manage Snowflake integrations with Azure services, including secure networking, identity, and key management.
- Build Terraform infrastructure and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for provisioning, grants, RBAC automation, integrations, testing, validation, and rollback.
- Integrate platform workflows with ServiceNow for change requests, incident management, and service catalog automation.
- Maintain audit-ready deployments, access reviews, activity tracking, and regulatory controls across Snowflake and Azure.
- Develop runbooks, SOPs, architecture documentation, monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks.
- Provide L3 operational support and lead Sev1/Sev2 production incident resolution.
- Partner with Security, Risk, CPE, ACO, and DevOps teams on audits, remediation, and platform improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on expertise with Snowflake core platform capabilities, security, replication, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Storage, Networking, Identity, and Key Vault.
- Experience with Terraform for cloud and Snowflake infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience building Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and managing releases.
- Experience with Git version control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Experience supporting third-party applications such as Talend, Qlik, and Looker.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM workflows.
- Experience working in regulated or financial services environments.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake replication, disaster recovery, multi-cloud AWS/Azure architectures, automated data access provisioning, and data governance or catalog tools.
- Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Snowflake or Azure certifications are preferred or advantageous.
- Strong understanding of data security and governance, production troubleshooting, documentation, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
