Responsibilities
- Participate in hands-on Enterprise Technology work, research, and development opportunities.
- Work with or develop skills in mainframe software technologies and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to technology initiatives supporting State Farm employees, agents, customers, and policyholders.
- Collaborate effectively in in-person and virtual team environments.
Requirements
- Be a current full-time college or university student in the freshman, sophomore, or junior year.
- Have coursework or a major in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Have a desire to work with mainframe skills and potentially work for State Farm after graduation.
- Have completed a high school diploma or GED and at least one semester of college remaining after summer 2027.
- Demonstrate leadership through extracurricular or professional activities, communication skills, initiative, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new languages and frameworks.
- Experience with any of COBOL, PL/1, IMS, DB2, JCL, Autoflow, Assembler, SAS, DFSORT, AWS, or Python is preferred.
- Be eligible to lawfully work in the United States immediately.
