Responsibilities
- Build product features across frontend, backend, full-stack, real-time, or forward-deployed software.
- Develop interfaces for telemetry, geospatial data, mission planning, scheduling, collaboration, or system health.
- Build and operate backend services, APIs, event-driven systems, or data pipelines.
- Write automated tests, improve developer tooling, and help ship production-quality software.
- Support integration and test events, debug issues across services and networks, and turn findings into product improvements.
- Own a scoped project with a clear technical or business outcome and present the work at the end of the summer.
Requirements
- Currently pursue a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, with graduation and enrollment requirements to be confirmed.
- Have strong programming fundamentals and experience building a substantial software project.
- Have experience with a modern frontend framework, backend language, systems language, or full-stack application.
- Explain technical tradeoffs, debug methodically, and write maintainable code.
- Applicants must satisfy the stated ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
- Preferred experience includes React, TypeScript, Go, Python, Rust, C++, distributed systems, networking, real-time applications, maps, games, simulation, data visualization, Linux, Docker, customer-facing engineering, or deployed projects.
