Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze AI model performance data on Intel CPUs and GPUs.
  • Contribute to compiler, runtime, and hardware-software features that optimize AI models and workloads.
  • Evaluate the impact of compiler optimizations on hardware design and performance.
  • Work with LLVM, SYCL, CUDA, and heterogeneous computing technologies.
  • Analyze and optimize AI models and runtimes across heterogeneous architectures.
  • Collaborate with experienced compiler engineering teams on performance and reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field, with 2-3 years of hands-on domain experience through internships, academic projects, coursework, or training, or holding a relevant Master's degree with no prior professional experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with compiler construction concepts from coursework or projects.
  • Knowledge of modern CPU/GPU architecture and memory systems.
  • Experience with accelerated computing and parallel programming models such as OpenMP, CUDA, or SYCL.
  • Preferred experience building compilers or compiler components with LLVM.
  • Preferred experience analyzing and optimizing AI models and runtimes for performance and scalability across heterogeneous architectures.
  • Preferred kernel programming and AI model optimization experience using PyTorch for large language models.
  • Preferred familiarity with Intel Architecture and GPU performance tracking and analysis.
  • Ability to debug complex technical problems and proactively propose solutions.
